CohrEx Executive Functions

Assess the cognitive abilities that drive complex decision-making and business performance.

Executive Functions are our higher-level cognitive abilities — the “control room” for planning, problem-solving, and regulating behavior. We measure functions such as strategic thinking, attention, memory, and task management through three tests: Tower Test, Color Word, and Card Sorting.

Together, they provide a detailed picture of an individual’s ability to handle leadership challenges and adapt to changing demands.

CohrEx Analytics

Uncover how individuals think and reason using adaptive testing across logic, numbers, and verbal analysis.

Based on Item Response Theory (IRT), these tests dynamically adjust difficulty based on performance to measure analytical strength. We include three distinct assessments: Logic, Numeric, and Verbal — each offering insights into decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

The result is a high-resolution view of a person’s cognitive profile, aligned with business needs.

CohrEx Personality

Gain a deeper understanding of personality traits that influence behavior, motivation, and culture fit.

Built on the HEXACO-PI-R model, our assessment maps six key personality dimensions and their sub-factors — delivering a rich, research-backed profile. This helps identify interpersonal style, leadership potential, and value alignment in a business context.

What makes a high performing leader?

Challenge

The customer had historically made several unsuccessful hires of this business-critical leadership role, leading to significantly decreased business performance. They realized it was a big leap to take on this leader role from current lower managerial roles. 

The Talent Acquisition team were unsure of what makes a high performing individual in this leader role, leading to bad accuracy in recruitment. 

Solution

The company decided to create a tailored recruitment profile for the leader role; a business-critical position in the company.

CohrEx Executive Functions, CohrEx Analytics, and CohrEx Personality was carried out by current personal for two purposes; understanding the key characteristics of high performers, and supporting personal development.

Margin was the main KPI to measure performance, and adjustment were made for experience, KPI starting point, and geography, to minimize bias.

Results

After the Leader profile was created, the company was onboarded and trained on how to use the CohrEx Platform and decided to implement the Leader profile assessment in the later part of the recruitment process, to get more in-depth knowledge about short listed candidates. The introduction of the Leader profile and the usage of the CohrEx Platform have led to better selection decisions due to higher consistency and access to more essential information.
